The Dissertation Writer’s Retreat is offered by Capella University, and is open to doctoral students from other doctoral granting institutions.

Cancellation of Dissertation Writer’s Retreat

Dissertation Writer’s Retreat cancellation more than 30 days prior to the start of a Retreat will not be assessed a cancellation fee. Participants canceling their registration 7—30 days prior will be assessed a $150 cancellation fee. Participants canceling their registration 0—7 days prior will be assessed the entire retreat fee.

To cancel a dissertation writer's retreat registration, please complete a Retreat Cancellation Form*. Cancellations or no-shows, due to last minute flight cancellations or emergencies, should be documented and faxed to Capella University at 1-888-227-8492 (fax).

Dissertation Writer’s Retreat Tuition

The tuition for all other Dissertation Writer’s Retreats is $2,395 non Capella doctoral students. Capella University learners will be charged the Capella tuition of $1,995 through June 30, 2010.

Registration includes:

  • A 5-night stay with free Internet access, continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks.
  • Access to writing and research methodologist experts, and research librarians.
  • Plus, attend writing and library workshops. All in a conducive work environment.

Payment

Payment must be received prior to or at the Dissertation Writer’s Retreat.

The Dissertation Writer's Retreat is designed to give students an environment to work on their dissertation and provides resources to help them with the writing process. The Dissertation Writer's Retreat and Capella University do not guarantee the product produced by the participant will meet specific guidelines of the participant's institution. Participant's should work directly with the institution in which they are enrolled to be sure they understand all expectations. It is understood that all work product is the responsibility of the participant, and there is not guarantee such work will be accepted by any institution or organization.
